This explains what Sharq collects on sarq.ai and in AE-1 Public Testing (sarq.ai/try), why, who processes it, and how to have it removed. Questions: ronit@sarq.ai.

The website

  • Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure page speed. They set no cookies and report in aggregate.
  • Contact form. If you write to us, we keep your name, email, organisation and message to reply to you.

AE-1 Public Testing

  • Your account. Your name and email. With email sign-up, a salted scrypt hash of your password (never the password itself). With “Continue with Google”, Google shares only your name and verified email with us; we receive no password and no access to your Google data.
  • Staying signed in. A random session token in a cookie; we store only its SHA-256 hash. Sessions last 30 days.
  • Daily limits. How many messages your account sent today, and counts of sign-ups and sign-in attempts per network, keyed by a one-way hash of the IP address (never the address itself).
  • Your messages. We don’t keep your conversations on our servers: they are saved in your own browser and you can delete them there.
  • Contact. By using the test you agree that Sharq may contact you about AE-1.

Where it’s kept

The site runs on Vercel. Accounts, sessions and counts are stored in our PlanetScale Postgres database (Mumbai region). We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

Your choices

To see or delete your account and everything linked to it, email ronit@sarq.ai from the address you signed up with. Clearing your browser’s site data removes your saved conversations.
